This wine is obtained exclusively from the Tinta Roriz variety, from plots of 42-year-old vines at an altitude of 70 meters.
VINIFICATION
After careful selection for their best condition, the grapes were harvested into 25 kg chests and sent to the winery where they were completely destemmed. Fermentation took place for 9 days in traditional 7-tonne granitic stone tanks with stepping and smooth pumping over for leaching by blanket and extraction of phenolic and aromatic compounds. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine was transferred to 2nd year French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation took place and aged for about 18 months.
