RESERVE TITULAR RED | DÃO DOP 2017
The blend shown here, which brings together three major Dão grape varieties; Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Tinta Roriz, intended to achieve a new balance and higher levels of complexity by bringing together varieties of different personalities. Thus, the aromatic exuberance and volume of the Touriga Nacional were tempered by the firm tannins and minerality of the Tinta Roriz, complemented by the lively acidity of the Alfrocheiro.
Ruby color of good intensity. Complex aroma, where notes of red and black fruits emerge, complemented by the characteristic foral tone of Touriga Nacional. In the mouth, it combines a smooth and elegant attack with a harmonious evolution where acidity and tannins appear in great balance, with the notes of the wood in which it aged very well integrated and supporting the whole set, in a final of great elegance and persistence.
Ham and sausages, roast kid, duck rice, roast duck, steak with pepper sauce, stewed oxtail, Alentejo-style pork, roast pork loin, rojões, partridge stewed with chestnuts, wild boar and mountain cheese. It should be served at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
