The iconic Quinta da Pacheca , known for its winemaking tradition in the Douro, opens its doors on October 23rd for an exciting Olivotourism season, marking the beginning of the long-awaited olive harvest.
Located in the heart of the Douro Valley, Quinta da Pacheca is a renowned destination, known for its award-winning wines and breathtaking scenery. Now, visitors will have the unique opportunity to actively participate in the olive harvesting process, where aromas and flavors meet deliciously.
In addition to the harvest, participants will be invited to enjoy a lunch where the menu is designed and harmonized perfectly with the wines and olive oils, the Quinta's main protagonists.
The program
Costing 85 euros per person, the program begins with a welcome snack with traditional cornbread and cured olives, followed by a tour of the olive grove and participation in the harvest. Then, the tasting of new olive oils begins, with Quinta da Pacheca Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Pacheca Extra Virgin Olive Oil 100% Verdeal, Pacheca Extra Virgin Olive Oil 100% Cobrançosa, Pacheca Extra Virgin Olive Oil 100% Madural and Pacheca Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil . The program ends with a traditional lunch with a 4-course menu with 2 DOC Douro wines and 1 Port.
