Celebration, renewal and joy fill the air as we approach the moment between a year that passes and another that approaches. New Year's Eve is a moment of contemplation, an instant in which time seems to freeze to remind us of the achievements, the challenges overcome and the precious memories that shaped our journey over the last twelve months.
This season, we seek to offer our visitors a memorable experience through unforgettable programs, and there is no better combination than combining charming environments, good company, and of course, excellent wines! For those who wish to take this celebration to another level, we are pleased to present two special programs, carefully designed to make your New Year's Eve a memorable experience!
Quinta Dona Adelaide, Trás-os-Montes
In Valpaços, Quinta Dona Adelaide prepared a distinctive program full of entertainment.
The program starts on December 31st, Sunday, at 7pm with a welcome reception. Immediately afterwards, at 8pm, there will be a Gala Dinner, with varied starters, such as: octopus kebab with wasabi mayonnaise, alheira balls with chive sauce or smoked salmon tartlet and fresh cheese. Furthermore, the main entrance stands out with delicious sausage puffs on a bed of mushrooms, an explosion of flavors on the palate!
The fish dish features Olive Nature cod and the slushy flavors of gin and tonic with ginger and lime. The next meal features a meat dish, being roast suckling pig with fresh fruit and potato chips. For dessert, a chocolate petit gateau with vanilla ice cream. In addition to all these delicacies, the dessert buffet will feature several options such as chestnut pudding, or almond afternoon, or even a selection of Christmas sweets, a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, cheeses and jams.
At 00:00, the New Year is toasted with sparkling wine, raisins and fireworks.
At 2:00 am, caldo verde with sausage, suckling pig, a table of cheeses and compounds, a table of hams, sausages and bread steaks make up a great and tasty Supper.
Then, at 3:00 am, a cozy moment begins with hot chocolate, as well as bar service open well into the night.
To accompany this moment of celebration, the night features live music and a DJ.
The program costs €110 for adults and €60 for children aged 5 to 10. For children up to 5 years old, entry is free. Tickets must be collected up to 48 hours before the event.

Quinta da Pacheca, Douro
On the banks of the Douro, Quinta da Pacheca presents two elegant programs this year for a memorable New Year's Eve, dedicated to lovers of wine and unique experiences!
2 night program
The first program proposes a two-night stay at The Wine House Hotel, from December 30th to January 1st. During the stay, accommodation and breakfast are guaranteed, in addition to visitors receiving a 25% discount on treatments and massages at the hotel's Vineyard SPA.
For those who prefer to immerse themselves in a different and very authentic experience, this first option in the program includes reservations at the Wine Barrels, for €1940, a Double/Twin room for €1460 and a Double/Twin Vineyard Room for €1540 (it is possible to add 1 extra bed or cot in double/twin room).
For children up to 12 years old the value is €330, while for children between 4 and 11 years old the value is €170. For children aged 0 to 4 years there is no cost.
3 night program
The second program includes a 3-night stay, from December 29th to January 1st, 2024. As with the first option, accommodation and breakfast are guaranteed during the stay, in addition to a discount of 25 % on treatments and massages at Vineyard SPA da Quinta.
In this second option, Wine Barrels will also be available for €2610, a Double/Twin room for €1890 and a Double/Twin Vineyard Room for €2010 (it is possible to add 1 extra bed or cot in a double/twin room).
For children up to 12 years old the value is €360, while for children between 4 and 11 years old the value is €190. For children aged 0 to 4 years there is no cost.
Common experiences for both programs
On the first day, December 30th, guests will be able to enjoy several special activities, such as "Hot Drinks Time", wine tasting and guided tour, cocktail workshop with Port Wine, dinner with fado at Adega Portos and for children, a Kids Club with fun activities for children between 3 and 12 years old.
On December 31st, the program begins in the morning with a delicious breakfast, followed by Celestial Harmony with Yoga and Tibetan Bowls for well-being. In the morning, guests will be able to walk through the Pacheca vineyards in an immersive experience with Pacheca Nature. At lunch, the resident Chef invites everyone to a gastronomic experience in a live cooking show with some of the most emblematic dishes of Portuguese cuisine! In the afternoon, artist Óscar Rodrigues invites guests to a painting with wine demonstration, where they can try something different and very innovative!
In the evening, for the start of the big party, the producer prepared a welcome cocktail at Adega de Portos and several surprises, as well as a New Year's Eve Gala Dinner accompanied by live music with The Groovy. At the most awaited moment, at midnight, the toast is with raisins and sparkling wine to welcome the new year that begins with open arms. Afterwards, the program features a New Year's Supper, with a varied selection of snacks, as well as late-night entertainment with a DJ and an open bar.
The next day, we welcomed 2024 with a delicious welcome Brunch Buffet, served in the lounge overlooking the vineyards and the magnificent Douro River.
